I’d like to say that my work is community driven. And I manifest myself as an artist who strives for a less violent, more peaceful and understanding society. A community that is not about separation but about participation, compassion and inclusivity. My art is a socially engaged response to the plurality of society and its social complexity.
With my work I offer an alternative, I wonder to what extent people are aware of their own abilities, and the potential that lies in everyone. With my work I try to challenge the public to participate and contribute to a new whole. Through interaction or observation I ask the viewer to rethink their morals and the way they live. My interest in science, the question of causality, quantum mechanics, astronomy, and spirituality has made me realize that there are many similarities at their cores. This assembly brings me to what I call Wholeness. Lately the concept of Wholeness appeared to me in the form of the fungi. Mushrooms have long been used to support the health and wellness of the body, mind and spirit. Even now and already for millennia mushrooms have maintained a constant role in our culture and history. Influenced by the disciplines art, science and spirituality I create sculptural works that allow you to experience different interpretations on the concept of society, and view our world through other perspectives.
